Speech Language Pathologist

Cara received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Harding University in 2003 and a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Memphis in 2005. She has been practicing pediatric speech therapy for 15 years. She has been working at MFCC since 2016.  Her experience includes evaluation and treatment of children from birth to 18 years old with articulation delays and disorders, language delays and disorders, stuttering, feeding and swallowing difficulties, augmentative/alternative communication needs and voice disorders. She has had the opportunity to provide therapy services in a variety of settings including clinics, hospitals, schools and client’s homes. Cara is trained in the SOS approach to feeding program. She completed the TBRI® (Trust Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner training in 2018. She has also completed the Empowered to Connect Parent training. Cara is licensed by the state board of Tennessee and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association).

Cara Mohundro grew up in Florida, but has called Memphis home for the last 10 years. She is married with 4 children. When she’s not working, Cara is most likely hanging out with her family at the park or the zoo, baking some kind of delicious dessert or shopping for deals at yard sales and bargain stores.
