Family Therapist
Christy received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University in 2001. She moved to Texas in order to grow a deeper understanding of discipleship and counseling. At Dallas Theological Seminary, she earned a Master’s in Biblical Counseling and gleaned supervision and experience working with women and families. She received additional training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention in 2016 after joining the staff at Memphis Family Connection Center and is now a TBRI® Practitioner. Over the years, she counseled women in various capacities, developing a passion for providing hope to women in hurting places, including anxiety/stress, depression, family dynamics, parenting, grief/loss, changes in life seasons, and relationship issues. She enjoys leading care groups for women and sees the benefit of pursuing healing alongside others.
Believing God has created people for worship and relationship, she explores focus of attention and influence of thought patterns and emotions to help people thrive in their relationships. She finds it a privilege to be a part of the journey toward healing. She and her husband have been married since 2003 and have 2 teenage daughters. They enjoy being active together, taking trips, hiking, and spending the day at the lake with family and friends.
