Moms Care Group

Lead by: Jill Stockburger MC, MA/EAT & Joan Adams MA
6 Sessions on Thursdays 12:30-2pm
Cost: $175 for the series of sessions
9/29/22-11/3/22

In our Moms Care Groups moms have a safe space to share, attune to their own feelings and thoughts, and interact with other moms. Through learning to pay attention to and understand our reactions to life’s stressors and our children’s needs and behaviors, we can better connect with them and guide them toward healing and growth.

We aim to provide a safe, confidential space to process your own history through sharing your story, understanding your triggers, and interacting with other moms in similar situations. Embarking on this journey takes courage to be vulnerable and effort to work toward forming new habits so change can take place. Group members will find strength knowing they are not alone in the journey and encouragement that this process reaps the reward of a more connected family.

Transracial Parenting Group

Free Monthly Support Group
Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month (excluding some holiday seasons)
First meeting on September 20th
5:00 PM-6:00 PM
Lead by: Teressa Davis, Ph.D. & Anteelah Love MS

Parenting a child or children of a different race can be challenging. Having conversations about race, prejudice, and racism is often uncomfortable. Our Transracial Parenting group provides a safe, confidential space for parents to ask questions, share, learn from, and process struggles with other transracial families. Each month a different topic will be discussed to provide parents with the tools they need to tackle difficult conversations and feelings/emotions. Some topics discussed during the group will include privilege, racism, racial identity, and hair/skin care. Parents are encouraged to bring topics to the group that they would like to discuss.

Parent Mentoring/Coaching

At times, the journey of parenthood can be lonely and overwhelming. In those seasons, parents need support to navigate the way forward.  Through our peer to peer support services we walk hand in hand with parents and caregivers to grow in both the knowledge and parenting tools to create connected healthy relationships and families.

Some parents find they need help with practical application as they strive to implement connected parenting strategies in their home. As part of our holistic approach to family care, our Parent Coaching program discusses foundational connected parenting strategies and creates an integrated parenting approach specific to each family’s individual needs. We work with parents on finding the underlying causes behind disruptive behavior, creating a balance of nurture and structure, and recognizing fear based responses in order for families to create felt safety in their homes. Additionally, we equip parents with strategies to recognize and remove parental barriers to connection.
