Christy grew up in Midlothian, VA and then attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA where she studied psychology and family studies before receiving her Masters in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary. While in Texas she worked as a learning therapist for elementary students with dyslexia, counseled at Denton Bible Church and later at Redeemer Presbyterian church in Waco, TX where her passion for holistic care for women and families grew out of the experience of leading care groups. Since then her desire for families to receive support, mentoring, and counseling that leads to personal growth and deeper connection with one another has increased. Christy considers it a privilege to walk alongside women and families as they walk through the adoption and foster journey. Christy became trained at Texas Christian University in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) September of 2016. She is married to Grant and they have two daughters. They enjoy being together, being active, and living near friends and family in Memphis!
