Dr. Matt Smith is a licensed psychologist. He specializes in therapy and assessment for adults and adolescents. He especially enjoys working with couples. Matt and his wife have four adopted children and serve as parent trainers at MFCC. Their positive experience with the Empowered To Connect (ETC) curriculum gave them a passion for sharing this information with other families. Matt also uses information from ETC in his therapy practice, finding the tools effective for biological families, too. Matt received his undergraduate degree from
Ouachita Baptist University (Go Tigers!), and his master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis (Go Tigers, Go!). He completed his predoctoral internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center
in Little Rock, AR. Formerly he practiced at Germantown Psychological Associates, PC and previously directed the counseling ministry of Germantown Baptist Church for 12 years.
